Grounded on existing potentials, our design converts presently interstitial area between the city and the river into a focal point that will reinvigorate the dispersed and failing urban parts into one proud civic entity.
Presently the site is highly fragmented due to a range of existing and proposed infrastructural elements, resulting in not only disconnectedness of the site from the city and the river, but also in atomization of every plot lying in-between of these infrastructures. In this context we devised a concept where each of these plots is interpreted as a micro valley and imbued with an individual program such as a botanic forest, a public piazza, a water park, etc. Connected by a series of pathways, they will form a network of vibrant micro urbanites without compromising their present spatial qualities. A metaphor of the whole Vah river region, with its cities as microcosms set in valleys, this development is a binder between nature and the city; it aspires to promote the city on the international arena, bringing intellectual capital from the East and the West.
